Five Times Hospitality Group

In the Spring of 2018, I constructed and developed a hospitality company called Five Times Hospitality Group.  The company had three primary venues, but the focus was on the soon-to-be-open whiskey concept, Single Barrel.  I created everything from the company's manifesto (above) to the staff, to the menu, to the corporate culture and even the accounting software.

 

"We are Five Times Hospitality Group and we live by the philosophy that you should enjoy everything in moderation even moderation, that words without action are wasted, that name-dropping is cheap, that the best fighters don’t need to fight, and that the pursuit of perfection is a noble one. We do not boast of charity or chivalry, but instead build relationships on gratitude and humility.  We believe that business comes before amusement, but not before kindness and comity. We will shake martinis only after shaking hands. Hold you word, your tongue, and your liquor. Let us banish the jobsworth, the dramatic, the killjoy. Those who are easily shocked should be shocked more often, and those not shocked any longer deserve a hug. We revere the rich no more than the rogue, the rascal, and the reprobate. And we have a way of dealing with outsiders: invite them in for a drink."
